• This tour is not available during Vietnamese New Year’s Day (07 Days): From Thursday, February 8th 2024 – Wednesday, February 14th 2024.
• Please advise if you have food allergy or dietary information.
• Vegetarian option is available, please advise at time of booking if required
• During holiday periods, there will be a 30% surcharge applicable to the total price.  
• Child rate applies only when sharing with 2 paying adults
• Children must be accompanied by an adult
• Only one under-five free admission per family

What to expect at your homestay:

• Room includes bed (with mattress), mosquito net, fan, table and chairs, electrical lights and outlets… and a lovely window or balcony.
• Outhouse is equipped with a clean, flushing toilet.

Extra payment for accommodation in a hotel on request:

• 3-star hotel: 800,000VND/Room (1-2 guests)
• 4-star hotel: 1,000,000VND/Room (1-2 guests)

What to bring:

• We suggest a small suitcase or backpack with comfortable clothes and shoes (sport shoes or flip-flops are fine), sunscreen, and mosquito repellent. Larger luggage can be left at your hotel or with us!
• Last but not least, bring yourself for a great experience!

I/ CANCEL BY GUESTS

Once your booking is confirmed and fully paid but for one reason you cancel the tour, the following charges will apply in the event of cancellation prior to tour commencement:

• If you cancel at least 7 days in advance of the scheduled departure, there is no cancellation fee.
• If you cancel between 3 and 6 days in advance of the scheduled departure, there is a 50 percent cancellation fee.
• If you cancel within 2 days of the scheduled departure, there is a 100 percent cancellation fee.

NOTED:

• Transaction fee will be paid by you
• For no show cases, there will be: Non - refundable
• All cancellations must be in person or in writing and received by Glory Experiences.

II/  CANCEL BY GLORY EXPERIENCES

In the event Glory Experiences cancel a trip, for any reason, we will contact you immediately and offer you the alternatives or all money for services described in the reserved itinerary will be refunded in full. Such alternatives require a close cooperation and harmony between both you and Glory Experiences, we are happy to listen and do all our best to give you the fairest things possible.

In the event of such a cancellation, any guests with pre-paid reservations or guaranteed confirmations shall be notified as soon as possible and a full refund of any payments on the un-used portion of transportation service, hotel service, domestic air flights, car rental or tours will be given. The transaction fee will be charged to Glory Experiences.

Glory Experiences is not responsible for any expenses incurred by the client or for non-refundable air tickets, equipment, medical costs, etc.

Glory Experiences reserves the right to cancel any trip package, itinerary or any part of a guests’s itinerary due to directly or indirectly by the acts of God, detention, annoyance, machinery breakdown, quarantine, bad weather, or causes beyond its control.

1/ What is the Mekong Delta?

Mekong Delta, also known as Mien Tay in Vietnamese, encompasses the vast and fertile floodplains of the Mekong and Cuu Long rivers with a maze of waterways.

The Mekong Delta is a flat region formed by alluvial sedimentation and sea-level changes. The activities of the river and sea have created fertile alluvial soil and coastal saline soil. The average elevation of the region is around 3-5 meters above sea level. The abundant sediment from the river makes the delta area an ideal location for agriculture, particularly for the cultivation of rice.

The Mekong Delta weather is tropical, so humidity is high throughout the year. The climate is also characterized by two distinct seasons, the wet and the dry season. The wet season lasts from May to October, and the dry season lasts from November to April. The region is often hit by severe storms and typhoons during the wet season, which can cause widespread damage and flooding.

2. Is Mekong Delta worth visiting?

• The people living in the Mekong Delta Vietnam are very friendly and hospitable. They are always willing to help anyone. They also have a close bond of brotherhood which is shaped by the harsh mountainous terrain.
• The culture of the Mekong Delta in Vietnam is largely influenced by its agriculture. As most of the area is rivers, every aspect of life is primarily dependent on water. The Mekong Delta is known for its unique rice cultivation tradition, floating markets, and farming practices.
• The landscape of the Mekong Delta is covered by vast rice paddies, so its dominant color is green. This region heavily relies on waterways, with boats, floating houses, and the floating market Mekong Delta on rivers, canals, and streams. The delta is divided between the bustling towns, where busy commercial activities take place, and the tranquil countryside, where buffalo wallow in rice paddies. 
• The cuisine of the Mekong Delta has a unique flavor that is influenced by both Cambodian and Thai culinary styles. The region is famous for its abundance of freshwater fish, tropical fruits, and vegetables, which are often used to create a wide variety of dishes. The cuisine of the Western region is also known for its distinctive use of fermented fish sauce, which adds a rich and savory flavor to many of its dishes.

3/ When is the best time to visit the Mekong Delta?

The best time to visit the Mekong Delta in Vietnam is anytime, thanks to its mild climate. Each season offers unique and exciting activities for tourists to try:

• From June to August, the Mekong Delta is a paradise of fruits. Visitors can enjoy the ripe and juicy fruits in the orchards around this period.
• From September to November, the Mekong Delta enters the floating season, which is perfect for exploring the canals and visiting the floating markets.
• From December to February, visitors can experience the lively atmosphere of Tet Holiday and admire the beautiful flower villages like Sa Dec, Tan Dong Quy, and Vi Thanh.

yes. Vegetarian foods are on request. Please inform us in advance. 

4/ What payment methods are accepted?

You can pay us through one of the following ways:

• Credit cards: credit card payment is completely secure on our website and can be made online long time in advance of your trip.
• Bank transfer: for large amount of money, you can request for bank transfer to avoid the transaction cost. Please email us for our bank details.
• Cash: you can pay us by cash - we will collect the cash at your hotel or preferred meeting place upon mutual agreement.

5/ Should I book in advance?

Booking in advance is definitely better than late booking because you will have much time to check the prices and select the best tour for you.

Good companies are often fully booked far in advance so you will not have many choices in the last minutes.

Booking in advance also helps us and the companies to prepare your trip better and you will also get to know everything about your trip before you go.

6/ How long in advance should I make the reservation?

Most tours posted on our site are filling out fast, for the quality of service and low price offered. We suggest you to make the reservation as soon as possible, especially if you are planning to travel in high season months from September to December. Planning your trip ahead will save you time and hassle.

7/ What if I want to cancel my booking?

When you decide that you need to cancel your booking, please notify us immediately by email and we will check cancellation policy and let you know if you can get refund.

8/ How do I know if my booking is confirmed?

Please fill out all details on the form: full name, email, whatsapp/Line/Kakaotalk. We will send you an email to confirm and send you the link of payment to complete your booking.

After receiving your payment and personal information, we will send you another email to confirm with the brief itinerary and our personal contact so that you can call us in case you need our assistance.
